The Perry 175 campaign has assembled an international group of scholars to put together a book tentatively titled, Commodore Matthew Perry and the Black Ships Legacy, to be published in 2028. We are conducting research that provides new understandings of the Perry expedition and its impacts on Japanese society and international relations.

Publication: early 2028X
The volume will be edited by Annette Bradford and John Bradford, YCAPS.
